HELSINKI SUNRISE - Passport to Romance

Marion Ueckermann is the author of a dazzling romance. Set in Finland it offers readers a look into a different culture yet with similarities. We all love weddings!

Helsinki Sunrise, a Passport to Romance, blog tour follows on from yesterday’s stop at on International Christian Fiction Writers where Ruth Dell did a book review on Helsinki Sunrise

Marion blogs for International Christian Fiction Writers and Beauty for Ashes. She belongs to Christian Writers of South Africa and American Christian Fiction Writers. She lives in Pretoria East, South Africa in an empty nest with her husband and their crazy black Scottie, Wally.

Thank you for hosting me on your blog today, Rita. I chose two small slices of romance from totally different scenes in Helsinki Sunrise to tempt your readers with. Next Friday, I’m excited to be able to share an insight to a special Finnish wedding on your blog.

  SLICE 1:
Strawberries. Blueberries. Maybe Adam needed to take a row on the lake after all. He certainly had far too much on his mind.
Although her arms around his neck, her body close to his, felt good—too good—he unclasped Eveliina’s hands and took a step away from her.
“I appreciate your efforts, I really do. Maybe when I’ve completed my fast, we could meet up in the city somewhere and I’ll treat you to whatever blueberry dessert you desire.”
“Why wait ‘til the city, Adam? I’m not going anywhere.” She placed her hand on his chest. “I’ll still be around for several days after you break your fast.”
Adam took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as he looked at her long manicured fingers, her pale skin stark against his black shirt. Could she feel the thumping of his heart? He raised his gaze to meet hers.

SLICE 2:
She pulled herself closer and tightened her arms around his neck. She could sense his arms and legs treading water, keeping them both afloat. “So tell me then, Adam, how attractive do you find me…really.”
His eyes earnest, his breath warm on her face, Adam whispered a single word. “Very.”
How she longed for more than his gaze. She ached for him to wrap his arms around her, to return her embrace, to feel his lips on hers as she had in her daydream. She waited, expectant. Any moment now for this was no longer a dream, this was reality.

Oh my, Eveliina sure does love to wrap her arms around Adam’s neck, but who can blame her? Will Adam succumb and kiss her? You’ll have to read the book to find out. And to whet your appetite further, here’s the blurb.

He needed the island to himself. So did she.
Three weeks alone at a friend’s summer cottage on a
Finnish lake to fast and pray. That was Adam Carter's
plan. But sometimes plans go awry.

On an impromptu trip to her family's secluded summer
cottage, the last thing Eveliina Mikkola expected to find
was a missionary from the other side of the world—in
her sauna. Determined to stay, Eveliina will do whatever
it takes—from shortcrust pastry to shorts—to send the
man of God packing. This island’s too small for them
both.   Adam Carter, however, is not about to leave.

Will he be able to resist her temptations?
Can she withstand his prayers?
